Half-Life 3 to Appear at Gamescom? *Updated*
*Updated* Gamescom officials have debunked the rumor. Apparently Halflife 3 and Dragon Age 3 will not be appearing at this year’s convention, but don’t let that discourage you. Plenty of other internet folks are already doing a pretty good job of denying it. Conspiracy theorists, feel free to sound off in the comments below. It’s purely internet speculation at this point, but a photo has leaked of a supposed games list for the upcoming Gamescom convention which features the title Half-Life 3. Don’t get your hopes up too high, Bioshock Infinite is also on the list and we’ve already been told

Steamed Penguins: Valve Is Coming To Linux
Get out your Redhats folks, it’s time for an open source party! OK OK, lame jokes aside…This is really exciting news for the Linux community. Gabe Newell, co-founder and managing director at Valve, has been making head-way with a small team since 2011 to bring Steam (and the Source engine) to Linux. After a lot of discussion, Gabe decided to expand the team and make it happen. Soon after, they began to get the work done on porting Steam and Left 4 Dead 2 over to Ubuntu. If you’re asking why Ubuntu, here is an excerpt from Valve’s blog with

Marvel Heroes: An Upcoming MMO
A new free-to-play MMO is on the horizon and it’s not what you might think. When I first heard about Marvel Heroes there wasn’t much information going around. I likened it to DC Universe Online, the Action-MMO developed by Sony Online Entertainment and quickly brushed it off. That was a mistake. DC Universe isn’t horrible mind you, it’s actually fairly decent. But I’m tired of half-assed MMO’s and WOW Clones, which is essentially what DC Universe is, despite it’s action-based elements. So when I heard about Marvel following suit, I wasn’t really interested. Now, in the glorious light of ComicCon, a

Deadpool Video Game Announced (Video)
Under development by High Moon Studios (the crew behind the upcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron), a new Marvel licensed Deadpool game has just been announced at ComicCon. Aside from appearances in games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 and Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions (a truly horrible game), Deadpool has yet to receive any attention in the video game world. I’ve never been a huge Deadpool fan, but I’ve never really given him a chance either. I am however, familiar with his character. In the comics he is one of the only Marvel characters to break the 3rd wall, in other words, he speaks to the

Review: Marvel Pinball DLC – Avengers Chronicles
I love pinball. I love it for the nostalgia, I love it for the lights and sounds and I love it for the unique game play. But pinball machines and arcades aren’t as familiar of a sight as they once were. Which bums the hell out of me. Fortunately for all of the old school gamers, developers are putting more and more time into resurrecting old classics on home consoles and rebooting old franchises that we’ve long since missed. Pinball is shown little love across all game platforms, but in the past few years one company has really stood out in it’s
