Just what I wanted… A newer smaller PS3

Just when I thought there was no possible way I could make any more shelf space under my TV, Sony comes along and delivers this… the newest, slimer, smaller PS3. I actually still own the 1st gen Ps3, the big shiny one. While it is a bit big , the size of my console has never really been all that important, I mean it kind of becomes a fixture that isn’t noticed all that much in my living room regardless of its size. I guess the good news is, If for some reason you still haven’t bought a PS3 and

The Saddest Mario Song – By : Luigie

(Dear Peach – Nerd Alert) My goodness, this song is actually both really sad and funny at the same time. I gotta say its actually pretty good. Gotta feel for that poor Luigi and his aching heart. This video was posted to the HuskyStarcfat YouTube channel, which from what I have seen is pretty unusual. Everyone once in a while Huskyy posts something like this… love it. This song is by Nerd Alert PS: I just watched this 3 times and can confirm laughing at the pie to the face every time.

Half-Life 3 to Appear at Gamescom? *Updated*

*Updated* Gamescom officials have debunked the rumor. Apparently Halflife 3 and Dragon Age 3 will not be appearing at this year’s convention, but don’t let that discourage you. Plenty of other internet folks are already doing a pretty good job of denying it. Conspiracy theorists, feel free to sound off in the comments below. It’s purely internet speculation at this point, but a photo has leaked of a supposed games list for the upcoming Gamescom convention which features the title Half-Life 3. Don’t get your hopes up too high, Bioshock Infinite is also on the list and we’ve already been told

Metacritic: The Developer’s Bane

I read a great article on IGN’s website today about the negative impact Metacritic is having on the video game industry. It’s a very well-written piece and a very important article if you have any interest in how games are developed and the ridiculous standards these hard-working individuals are being held accountable for. I have been opposed to Metacritic for a long time, mostly because the internet troll types can (and often do) take charge of the rating of a game in order to down-vote it for no other reason than they are sour about some usually simple and insignificant fact.

Deadpool Video Game Announced (Video)

Under development by High Moon Studios (the crew behind the upcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron), a new Marvel licensed Deadpool game has just been announced at ComicCon. Aside from appearances in games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 and Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions (a truly horrible game), Deadpool has yet to receive any attention in the video game world. I’ve never been a huge Deadpool fan, but I’ve never really given him a chance either. I am however, familiar with his character. In the comics he is one of the only Marvel characters to break the 3rd wall, in other words, he speaks to the

OUYA : The Future of Console Gaming?

A new console is coming to town, and its called OUYA. This could be a pretty big deal. Today, the kickstarter campaign for OUYA went viral. Links to the campaign spread like wildfire. This video made it to the front page of Reddit, IGN, and Engadget just to name a few. The $99 console plans to run on a model completely new to the console world, an open source one. Review: Marvel Pinball DLC – Avengers Chronicles

I love pinball. I love it for the nostalgia, I love it for the lights and sounds and I love it for the unique game play. But pinball machines and arcades aren’t as familiar of a sight as they once were. Which bums the hell out of me. Fortunately for all of the old school gamers, developers are putting more and more time into resurrecting old classics on home consoles and rebooting old franchises that we’ve long since missed. Pinball is shown little love across all game platforms, but in the past few years one company has really stood out in it’s
