Not a Review : My New Rosewill Mechanical Keyboard

Most serious PC gamers, or people over the age of 30, are probably familiar with mechanical keyboards. Mechanical keyboards are different than the average modern day keyboard in that each key has a mechanical switch that must be pressed for the keypress to register. Contrarily standard modern day keyboards use a cheaper and easier to manufacture technology that has allowed the price of keyboards to come down dramticly over the last 20 years. A bare bones keyboard can be picked up for $5-10 bucks these days.  The early 80s era keyboards were mostly mechanical, so if your a computer user over the age

Whats this? A New Rise of The Triad Game!

New Rise Of The Triad Game on the way Release: TBA Genre: FPS Platform: PC Ahhhh yes,I remember it clearly. It was one of my favorite pc games in my early teenage years.  Rise of The Triad was a goofy, puzzly, gorey pc shooter back in the era of Duke Nukem 3d. This years Quakecon brought on the announcement of a modern day remake that appears to take the spirit of the original game and bring in some modern day enhancements. I remember a few parts of this game fondly. But 2 elements really stick out for me: 1. The

Oculus Rift Kickstarter Blows Up : Looks Bad Ass

The Oculus Rift blew up on social sites today. The kickstarter has allready surpased its $250,000 goal by double within the first 12 hours of the kickstarter campaign. This product just may break the recently set kickstarter record (Ouya)   If this thing is even half as cool as the people in this video make it sound, count me in for one. This is a technology gamers have fantasized about for a long time, but it just never quite came to fruition.  Kickstarter sure is starting up a lot of cool products and projects this year. I cant wait to try out this

A cool moment from my time in Guild Wars 2 BWE3 (Video)

This video has some mild spoilers: Leave now if this bothers you! Last weekend we had the final beta weekend event from Guild Wars 2. This time around I tried to just focus on enjoying the game rather than documenting everything in detail to try to cover the game. There was one moment however where I had to stop and take some footage of the area. I only did the first 5 or so quests in the personal story, as I wanted to save the meat of this part of the game for the actual release. In

Tribes Ascend Twinfusor Update Goes Live Today

Good news for Tribes players, a fairly large update is coming to the game today. The highlight is the new Twinfusor weapon which comes in light, medium, and heavy variations. The Twinfusor is a version of the classic Spinfusor, however the Twinfusor can shoot 2 shots per reload. Wait.. don’t cry “OP GUN!” just yet, each shot does much less damage than a Spinfusor round. This is going to be a great weapon for light forward position classes who will need to clear flag stands at high speeds. Another much needed addition coming in this update is a party system to play

Steamed Penguins: Valve Is Coming To Linux

Published on July 17, 2012, by in PC Games, Previews.

Get out your Redhats folks, it’s time for an open source party! OK OK, lame jokes aside…This is really exciting news for the Linux community. Gabe Newell, co-founder and managing director at Valve, has been making head-way with a small team since 2011 to bring Steam (and the Source engine) to Linux. After a lot of discussion, Gabe decided to expand the team and make it happen. Soon after, they began to get the work done on porting Steam and Left 4 Dead 2 over to Ubuntu. If you’re asking why Ubuntu, here is an excerpt from Valve’s blog with

Marvel Heroes: An Upcoming MMO

Published on July 17, 2012, by in PC Games, Previews.

A new free-to-play MMO is on the horizon and it’s not what you might think. When I first heard about Marvel Heroes there wasn’t much information going around. I likened it to DC Universe Online, the Action-MMO developed by Sony Online Entertainment and quickly brushed it off. That was a mistake. DC Universe isn’t horrible mind you, it’s actually fairly decent. But I’m tired of half-assed MMO’s and WOW Clones, which is essentially what DC Universe is, despite it’s action-based elements. So when I heard about Marvel following suit, I wasn’t really interested. Now, in the glorious light of ComicCon, a
