Well, I’m still not a 60… i know , I have had plenty of time. I have made it to 55 and I decided to pace myself a bit through hell mode after hearing about the brick wall that is inferno act 2. In any event Blizzard put out a pretty big patch today. Heres the quick version of whats new:
Full patch information is available at the official diablo 3 blog.
Minor changes to all classes and some abilities.
Monks can now use two-handed axes, swords and maces.
Fixed damage scaling (this one is kind of a big deal):
This should remove the ‘brick wall’ I mentioned earlier. Basically monster damage does not scale up the same way it did before with each player. This is in reaction to the communities out pore that inferno mode was simply too hard.
Drop rates have been changed:
Drop rates in late Hell and Inferno modes have been adjusted. Level 61-63 items will drop in act III and IV of hell. This should help players to be properly equipped for inferno mode.
Crafting costs less:
Crafting costs have gone down on both blacksmith and the jeweler. Im still not sure about the blacksmith… he rarely has what i need, and for the price i may as well spend the gold in the auction house. Hopefully this update will appease my concerns.
There are a bunch of other changes, but these were the only ones that really jumped out for me.
Now did anyone actually finish Inferno mode on hardcore before the patch? Yep.. one guy did. Good lord, im not sure how its possible but its true.
