Tribes Ascend Twinfusor Update Goes Live Today

Good news for Tribes players, a fairly large update is coming to the game today. The highlight is the new Twinfusor weapon which comes in light, medium, and heavy variations. The Twinfusor is a version of the classic Spinfusor, however the Twinfusor can shoot 2 shots per reload. Wait.. don’t cry “OP GUN!” just yet, each shot does much less damage than a Spinfusor round. This is going to be a great weapon for light forward position classes who will need to clear flag stands at high speeds. Another much needed addition coming in this update is a party system to play

  Tribes Ascend Fans Rejoice And Be Glad – Double XP Unltil July 8 Tribes Ascend will be running on double xp mode for the next 4 days. Starting today (July 4) until July 8 all players will receive double the xp while playing. This is likely an attempt to get the loads of new steam players up to speed quickly. I for one am excited to see the community grow and will be jumping in over the next few days to wrack up some extra xp!    Good news for Tibes fans, the new “Accelerate Update” brings a ton of new items and changes up the mechanics of how items are earned. I’m glad they decided to do this, Hi-Res has been loyal to the fan base throughout development and has taken the fans opinions to heart. I hadent really known much about Hi-Res before Tribes came out, but I have come to respect these guys for brining a quality free-to-play game with a fair cash shop. So whats new?
